Saunders Aircraft Powerpoint Presentation for the Canadian Aviation Historical Society

 I was pleased to do a History of Saunders Aircraft  Presentation on September 29, 2022 for the Canadian Aviation Historical Society at their annual convenntion which was held in Winnipeg.

Using the record function in Microsoft Powerpoint I recorded the Saunders Aircraft Powerpoint presentation from my laptop and posted the presentation on Youtube, the link is below.

Born as a farmboy near Angusville, Manitoba, I was drawn to aviation at a very early age and would buy a balsa airplane model when ever I could.

I planned to join the RCAF after high school, however my father, a WWII army veteran encouraged me to go to college instead. I graduated with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology in 1976 and worked in the geotechnical engineering field for 40 years. Our daughters arrived in 1978 and 1982 so any airforce plans were suspended. R/C model airplanes and numerous aviation events kept my aviation passion lit while family and work kept me busy with life.

In 2009, I obtained my Glider Pilot license, soaring was very special to me however aeromodelling had a stronger hold on me and I focused on aeromodelling and aviation history.

2014, I helped Wilf Ansell, a aeromodelling friend on his Saunders ST-28 model airplane project, as I researched more into Saunders Aircraft, I knew that  Saunders Aircraft was a good aviation story that needed to be shared with all. Thus the Saunders Aircraft Research Project & future book was started.

Now, I've retired from work and enjoy time with my two grandsons.

I have the best of both, play with them or play with r/c airplanes, plus I have more time to finish the Saunders Aircraft research and book.
